As humans our reaction is normally to run away and hide when our sin has been revealed. Instead of owning up to what we have done, we often want to make excuses as to why we have done wrong. God is calling us to flee from this and confess and repent when we have done wrong, when we have sinned against Him.
We may think that there are no consequences for sin, but as we read in the scripture, there are always consequences. Because we serve a holy and righteous God, no sin will go unpunished. Let us receive His forgiveness and confess when we have done wrong. He tells us in the Scriptures that if we confess our sins, He will forgive us because He is merciful.
