Do not despise the Lord's chastening because whomever He loves He chastens.  When we are being corrected by the Lord, at times we may not welcome it; at times we may feel that He is dealing with us too harshly. However, instead of running away from the Father's discipline, let us stand and face His correction. As parents (if you have children), when we see our children heading in a direction that is not right, we will correct them. This is exactly what the Lord does for us. He corrects us because He loves us more than we can imagine or believe. Scriptures Proverbs 3:11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction. Hebrews 12:5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons. My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, no be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him.
