CREATED WITH PURPOSE
It can at times be discouraging becasue people have their opinion of us and who they think we are. You may think that there is nothing to life. Trust the Lord because you have been created with purpose.
You Are Created With Purpose
You are created with purpose and you are not some random accident? Do you know that you have been created with purpose?
In the Book of Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says “For I know that plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.
This is one of my favourite scriptures in the Bible and it holds a very special place in my heart. This is because I was going through a period in my life when I had failed my exam and was feeling so down because I thought this chosen career was what the Lord wanted for me to pursue.
When I failed my exams I was so sad but then I heard so the voice of the Lord and it was that Scripture came to my spirit. After hearing those comforting words, I completely felt better and told the Lord to “ok”
You Are Created With Purpose
Jeremiah’s Call And First Message
We read the account of the message that the Lord gave to Jeremiah:
“The LORD gave me this message: “I know you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1: 4-5).
These verses shows that before you were even a twinkle in the eyes of your parents, the LORD knew you. Because He already knew you, He has plans for you, therefore, you are not here by chance or a one night stand or by some accident. The LORD is fully aware that you would be born at this time in history.
In Jeremiah 29:11 the Lord specifically tells
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
This verse alone should put a smile on your face. This is because not only are you created with purpose, but the Creator has plans for you.
In Isaiah 49:15-16 we read “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.
This alone should tell you that even if your own mother does not care for you, there is absolutely no way that the LORD who created you will forget you. After all, as He says it, He has your name written on the palms of His hands as in Isaiah 49:16.
He has great plans for your life. All you have to do is let Him into your heart so that He can mend the broken pieces. In doing so, you will realise that you have indeed been created with purpose.
Final Thoughts
There will be times when you may not know whether you are coming or going but this does not matter. In all honesty, at times I feel the same way, however, because I place my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, I don’t listen to what others says.
Let no one tell you that you put you down because the LORD who created you loves you more than you can imagine or think.
Do not listen to the lies of the enemy whose primary purpose is to stop us from experiencing a loving and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Know this, you are created with purpose and no one can stop the purpose that the Lord has for you if you continue to trust and obey Him.
People may not understand what the Lord Jesus is doing in your life and in all honesty, at times you may not understand either. One thing I can tell you is that you are here for a reason and the Lord makes no mistakes so trust the process and the plans He has for you because you are created with purpose.
